Aceasta naluca se remarca usor din marea familie Salmo Lures prin design-ul special conceput pentru capturarea rapitorilor de talie mare si prin lipsa barbetei.
Prin miscarile laterale ample, de aproape 90 grade, va atrage si cel mai mofturos rapitor.
Modelele floating se folosesc in special pentru zonele pline de vegetatie, evoluand chiar sub filmul apei sau scufundandu-se doar intre 0,5 si 1m.
Modelele sinking evolueaza de la 1 la maxim 2m adancime.
Evolutia optima a acestei naluci este produsa si controlata prin miscari ferme ale varfului lansetei in jos.
Aceste miscari energice vor imprima nalucii miscari laterale, stanga – dreapta, in unghiuri de pana la 90 de grade, irezistibile pentru orice rapitor.
In momentul recuperarii, Slider va evolua in lateral, in unghiuri perfect simetrice cu firul.
Este foarte important ca firul sa fie in permanenta tensionat, pentru a permite o intepare ferma in momentul in care pestele ataca naluca.
In cazul unor ape reci, cu temperaturi intre 2 si 5 grade Celsius, naluca va trebui recuperata incet, cu pauze de pana la 3 secunde intre miscarile lansetei (stanga – pauza de 3 sec. – dreapta – pausa de 3sec., etc.).
In cazul unor ape mai calde recuperarea va fi mult mai rapida, iar miscarile lansetei mult mai energice.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
