The Shad 65 AREA version, este un shad conceput pentru utilizare in conditii extrem de grele, iar caracteristicile sale cele mai mari sunt se lanseaza bine si nu se agata in timpul lanseului. Sistemul magnetic de schimbare a centrului de greutate, care misca aproape toata greutatea inapoi, permite o distanta remarcabila de aruncare, iar utilizarea unui pivot pe suportul carligului permite o probabilitate mare de a prinde pestele pe care il agatati. In plus, miscarea sa are o actiune de rulare stransa cu amplitudine constanta la toate vitezele, de la lenta la super-rapida .

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
