Datorită versatilității sale și cerințelor mari de echipamente tactice, tomahawk-ul tradițional își dovedește și astăzi valoarea într-o varietate de scenarii.
Ca o interpretare modernă, Tactical Tomahawk 2 combină forma tradițională din vremurile de pionierat, cu materiale care corespund stadiului actual. Capul toporului este realizat din otel carbon 1065 rezistent la impact, combinat cu un maner usor din polimer rezistent la șocuri și impact. Distribuția celor aproximativ 600 g al tomahawk-ului este în mod clar pe partea metalică, ceea ce dezvoltă caracteristici de excepție pentru despicat. Structurarea puternică a mânerului în combinație cu un șnur atașat opțional garantează o manevrare sigură. Pentru un transport în siguranță, Tactical Tomahawk 2 este așezat cu mânerul mai întâi în tocul robust din nailon.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
