Plumbul KORDA Square Swivel este rezultatul unei analize meticuloase a comportamentului crapului in mediul natural, realizata de Danny Fairbrass in timpul filmarilor pentru „Underwater Part Four”. Ideea a fost clara: obtinerea unei forme cat mai compacte, capabila sa maximizeze eficienta inteparii prin transferul instantaneu al greutatii plumbului in momentul in care pestele preia momeala. Astfel a luat nastere o solutie ingenioasa, adaptata perfect nevoilor pescarilor de finete.
Forma sa patrata, cu margini ferme si o conicitate subtila spre capatul posterior, combina avantajele unei mase concentrate cu o stabilitate excelenta pe substrat, eliminand riscul rostogolirii si reducand la minimum riscul de incurcare al forfacului. Este o configuratie gandita nu doar pentru a sta bine pe fundul lacului, ci si pentru a asigura o auto-intepare prompta, fara ca pestele sa aiba posibilitatea de a suspecta pericolul.
Plumbul Square Swivel este un exemplu perfect de functionalitate aplicata in pescuitul modern, in care fiecare detaliu — de la forma pana la distributia greutatii — este pus in slujba capturii. Cu o gama larga de greutati disponibile, acest model se adapteaza cu usurinta oricarei situatii din teren, oferind pescarului un avantaj real in lupta cu exemplarele trofeu.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
