Momitorii tip placuta sunt cei mai stabili in curent puternic, datorita distribuirii perfecte a greutatii in partea cu lestajul, indiferent de greutatea mixului de nadire pe care-l folosim. Chiar si pe raurile cu un curent foarte rapid, aceste momitoare isi vor face treaba.
Bratele momitorului, in numar de patru, sunt in asa fel distribuite, incat permit o eliberare facila a nadei, fara riscul de a incurca forfacul, daca il fixam deasupra nadei presate.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
