Climax MIG 8 este un fir textil impletit din gama producatorului Climax, cu un profil rotund si o structura neteda, fiind calibrat exact pe intreaga lungime. Fabricat din 8 fibre HMPE (high-modulus polyethylene) impletite foarte strans (impiedica scamosarea firului) cu acoperire micro (reduce masiv pericolul formarii nodurilor din timpul lanseurilor), firul aluneca uniform prin pastilele inelelor lansetei, contribuind la atingerea unor distante apreciabile in lanseuri.
Diametrul subtire face ca acest fir sa fie mai putin vulnerabil la vant lateral, fiind ideal pentru pescuitul in curenti puternici. Efectul de memorie redus si elasticitatea scazuta pemit pescarului sa sesizeze pana si cele mai fine atacuri ale pestilor, inteparea fiind rapida si precisa. Rezistenta ridicata la abraziune datorita tratamanetului cu polisiloxan (polimeri siliconici) ecomanda acest fir pentru pescuitul in agatatura sau vegetatie submersa, iar stratul protector impotriva radiatiilor UV ii confera o durata lunga de viata.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
