V8-Line este un fir multifilament (textil) fabricat de producatorul Black Cat, obtinut printr-o impletire a fibrelor de ultima generatie, cu un profil rotund si o structura neteda, fiind calibrat exact pe intreaga lungime, avand o rezistenta ridicata. Este fabricat din 8 fibre impletite foarte strans (impiedica scamosarea firului), ceea ce ii confera o alunecare uniforma prin pastilele inelelor lansetei, contribuind la atingerea unor distante considerabile in lanseuri si o asezare facila pe tamburul mulinetei. Culoarea ii confera firului o vizibilitate excelenta pe parcursul partidelor de noapte si nu numai. Black Cat V8-Line are o suprafata foarte neteda, ceea ce minimizeaza zgomotul sub suprafata apei.
Dincolo de multitudinea de factori ce influenteaza succesul pescarului ajutandu-l sa aiba sesiuni reusite de pescuit, cum ar fi locul unde pescuieste, calitatea ansamblului, densitatea pestilor din zona, dar si priceperea acestuia, firul este unul dintre cei mai importanti factori atunci cand vine vorba de scoaterea la poza a celor mai spectaculoase capturi, cu atat mai mult cand tinta este somnul, de aceea firul ce trebuie folosit cu incredere de orice pescar de somn. Un avantaj suplimentar este faptul ca practic nu absoarbe apa sau murdarie.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
