Black Cat Front Zone Leader este un fir textil ce se va folosi cu succes pe post de inaintas in monturile pentru pescuitul la somn. Acesta prezinta o rezistenta deosebita la abraziune. Datorita acestui fapt, montura va ramane intacta, chiar si in urma contactului cu posibilele obiecte contondente de pe substrat.
Ce face ca acest fir sa fie deosebit este diametrul de 1.2mm, alaturi de rezistenta la rupere de 135kg. Un alt avantaj al firului Black Cat Front Zone Leader este posibilitatea de a fi crosetat pe firul principal, obtinandu-se o conexiune perfecta. In realizarea conexiunii se utilizeaza crosete de tip "splicing".

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
