2. Elasticitatea: caracteristica principala pentru amortizarea plecarii în fortaa capturilor capitale, reusindu-se revenirea la dimensiunea initiala fara a-i fi afectata structura.
3. Rezistenta la nod: o caractersitica care este mai importanta si decat rezistenta liniara, pentru ca nu exista linie de pescuit fara cel putin un nod, caracteristica care a fost fundamental imbunatatita pentru firele extrudate din noul material.
4. Flexibilitatea extrem de importanta, mai ales în momentul lanseului, dar si cand se realizeaza noduri complexe pe fire sub 0,25 mm diametru.
5. Rezistenta la abraziune: acest nou tip de material este extrem de rezistent la frecari repetate, putandu-se taia inclusiv material plastic cu el.
6. Rezistenta la raze ultraviolete. Din pacate din ce în ce mai multe fire de pescuit din comert poarta eticheta rezistent la UV, folosita în mod abuziv, nici un fir neprecizand gradul de rezistenta la acest tip de raze extrem de daunatoare. Doar un nailon produs din Nylon 12 poate garanta un grad de rezistena apropiat de 100%.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
