Chiar daca este o naluca realizata special pentru pescuitul bass-ului, Lucky John Bug se prezinta ca o naluca siliconica perfect pretabila pentru pescuitul salaului, cu prepoderenta in perioada de primavara. Motivul consta in faptul ca Bug este o imitatie a unui crab (rac in perceptia rapitorului nostru, autohton), care obisnuieste sa dea tarcoale icrelor abia depuse. Urmarea evidenta a acestei posibile amenintari este atacul furibund al celui care isi apara cuibul.
Bug este realizat dintr-un material siliconic impregnat cu sare si pastrat in ulei extras din creveti. Naluca se preteaza perfect pentru jiggingul clasic, dar are o eficienta aparte in prezentarile care nu necesita viteze mai de recuperare (drop shot).
Corpul segmentat, aplatizat, creeaza o turbulenta unica in apa. Aceasta este amplificata de evolutia cozilor principale, a picioarelor, dar si a cozii centrale.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
