Metodele specifice, precum și alegerea materialului folosit la fabricarea cârligelor Gamakatsu permit realizarea de produse de o calitate mai bună decât a celorlalte mărci. În primul rând, Gamakatsu folosește un oțel cu un procent ridicat de carbon, care permite evitarea tuturor defectelor care ar putea slăbi cârligul.
Gamakatsu are cel mai avansat sistem de fabricație din lume. Fiecare cârlig este călit la o temperatură specificată apoi este revenit într-o baie de ulei. Acest proces întărește cârligele, păstrând în același timp flexibilitatea acestora. În cele din urmă și cu siguranță cel mai important, procesul de ascuțire ultramodern Gamakatsu permite obținerea unui vârf perfect conic de o precizie inegalabilă.
Aici, înălțimea ideală a vârfului aduce calitatea ascuțirii și rezistența Gamakatsu.
Modelele nichelate (rezistente la coroziune) și nichelat-neagru (mai discrete) sunt cele mai utilizate, dar cele cu răspuns rapid sunt cele roși, ce adaugă un semnal foarte vizual atrăgător.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
